Finally March

March has come at last. As always with time it seems fast and slow at the same time. This weekend is Azalea Dog Training Club's semi-annual Show-N-go. Its not a competition, but more of a practice show. You go through all the motions of a show but you don't get scored like in competitions. It just a chance to practice and feel what a show would be like. Mani and Jack are both going. Jack in the beginner class and Mani and pre-novice. Mani went last fall and Jack hung out. Mani will also be recieving her CGC testing in the afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed for her.

Its two weeks exactly before we find out about the Vestry vote. We try and always to not think about it but its hard. It seemed to me that Vestries should be a rubber stamp with respect to the discernment process. Why else have a committee to sit down for so many meetings discussing things with Dan, if the Vestry is going to do it all over again. They should read the reports from the committee and vote. Otherwise you have no trust in what the 8 people on the committee decided. Dan is going on a retreat Sunday night till right before the meeting. If they haven't contacted him by then...too bad! I want it to just be over with.

Oh I realized I didn't tell everyone that Dan got contacts! He got them in November. He didn't want me to post it so he could surprise family at Christmas. Then I forgot I hadn't posted this tidbit. He's worn glasses for 15 years. They finally have started making contact that he can wear! He is very happy to have them and is learning the art of poking his eye. Hope everyone is doing well.
