First Parish Meeting
So...Dan was told to take care of getting his committee together. We both think its very odd for him to call together a committee for himself, but there are time constraints. Bob had no time to get it done and told Dan to. In some ways it was freeing because things could actually get taken care of. So a week from when Dan was told he had no chair and things had stalled he has gotten 7 people to be on his committee and they are meeting on Thursday. This first meeting will mostly be a business meeting: introductions, explanation of how the process goes, calender for the rest of the meetings, pass out booklets and Dan's spiritual autobiography. Afterwards we should have a good idea of how things will proceed between now and March. We hope that this part can be completed by then.
There are 7 members on the committee, 4 women and 3 men. They come from a diverse backgrounds; retired, parents of young children, parents of teenagers, still working empty nesters, divorced, and recently remarried. Unfortunately there is no one between 16-early 30s. There just aren't many people in the that group at church to chose from. Oh well can't be helped.
I start my new job a week from today. I can't wait to be done with my notice at my old job!!! Dan went shopping with me to get a whole bunch of new clothes. It was a lot of fun! I had almost nothing for a business casual work environment. Dan was great! He was helpful (rehanging clothes I had tried on), appropriate opinions on how clothes fit, and even was reasonable about how much the new wardrobe would cost! I am very proud.

you are working at Coastal AHEC? That is one of our clients! Ha! That makes me laugh so much. No one there knows me, but you should be using the Legiant system to clock in and such.
Congrats hun! Tell Dan my prayers are with him as he starts the process again. I know that everything will go smoothly now.
Miss you!
