Fort McHenry

A couple weeks ago Dan and I went to Fort McHenry. It was a very nice day out. The summer is looking like its going to be very VERY busy so we wanted to get a day together before everything got busy. They fly a huge flag at Fort McHenry, because it is the fort where the flag was still flying to inspire the poem that became the song the "Star Spangled Banner". I thought it was a cool picture.
I took this picture today of my flower box. I actually have two of them with the same flowers in both. They are doing really well! I love actually being able to keep a plant alive! I have a tendency to kill plants from lack of watering. (**hint: Anyone living in apartments that isn't allowed to put nails in their patio railing...use zip ties to hold them on. It works great and doesn't leave any marks.)

Things are going well here. Becca is getting Baptized on June 17th so we'll have a lot of family in town! I'm really looking forward to having more of our family finally meet her. Dan started his summer courses yesterday. He is going to be very very busy this summer between his course work and his job. We grab time together when we can. Oh check out Becca's page. She is smiling and making lots of new sounds. I was so happy the first time she smiled! It was finally an end to nothing but unhappy expressions. Its not very nice that babies are born frowning and crying but not smiling or laughing! At least it doesn't take that long to change.
